Who doesn’t love awards shows? Besides getting to see your favorite celebrities all dressed up, you also secretly hope someone is going to do something outrageous so you can talk about it the next day.
But awards shows are more than just politically-induced acceptance speeches or flashy opening numbers. They are about recognizing excellence and working hard to get to that excellence.
Same is true in marketing. To have a great year, you have to plan for a great year and work towards that plan. And, when you reach those goals, you can get an award (or at least not get fired).
